Brisbane is the third biggest city of the country and the capital of the state of Queensland. The state is located in the north east of the country and gets plenty of sunshine almost all the year round due to closeness of equator. Hence the state is called as 'Sunshine State' while Brisbane is named 'River City' as the city is situated next to the Brisbane river.
